Black & White Gala funds our HUTS Project. HUTS stands for Hands Up to Succeed, reflecting the heart of our mission: we offer a hand up, not a handout. Since the inception of HUTS in December 2016, the Foundation has enhanced the living conditions of 104 families by providing furniture, essential household items, washers and dryers, home décor, and other necessities that transform houses and apartments into safe, comfortable, and welcoming homes. The impact of this work reaches far beyond the items provided. The 104 families served represent hundreds of children and adults whose daily lives have been positively impacted. For families working to overcome difficult circumstances and move toward greater stability, a furnished and functional home can provide dignity, encouragement, confidence, and a renewed sense of hope. Funds raised through the Black & White Gala allow the Foundation to continue responding to the needs of families in our community—transforming living spaces, strengthening families, and helping create environments where children and adults can thrive. Every dollar raised helps us continue turning compassion into action and providing families with a hand up toward success, stability, and a brighter future.
