United Way of Ohio Valley – 2-1-1

2-1-1 is a special telephone number now available in every county in Kentucky, much like 911. 2-1-1 is a health and human resource hotline available 24/7 365 days a year for individuals seeking non-emergency help. Our hotline is a bridge between community resources and the people who need them most. Anyone can call 2-1-1 and get connected to resources like rent/utility assistance, mental health services, food pantries and special population services. Services listed in the 2-1-1 database provide services on an income base sliding scale and to those with state insurance or no insurance.

2-1-1 is more than just a hotline. United Way of the Ohio Valley provides an easy to use website, www.greenriver211.org for those without phone service or for a case manager working to find help for their clients. We also offer an iPhone and Android app available in their respective app stores. Residents can even text their 5-digit zip code to the number 898211 and get connected as well.
