Educators in the Workplace provides the opportunity for educators to go on-site to tour local facilities and talk directly with businesses about their operations and expectations of employees.
The program also provides individuals in the education sector with the opportunity to learn more about the regional economy and workforce along with specific programs like GO FAME and Community Campus.
Typical on-site visits include presentations by the host employers about their industry and their workforce, the levels of proficiency required for employees, and any other topics employers wish to cover.
Tours of each workplace are generally provided, followed by time for open discussion.
