Chamber Young Professionals (CYP) provides an opportunity for individuals aged 21-40 to connect, engage, and grow through professional development, community service, corporate tours, and Chamber events. CYP members build strong relationships within the Owensboro community, gaining valuable networking opportunities with established leaders and fellow young professionals.
Annual CYP membership dues are $75 for Chamber members and $125 for non-Chamber members. (Many employers will cover this fee.)
The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce encourages members to become more involved throughout the community and to serve as leaders.
Social & Networking Events
Our monthly social events offer excellent opportunities for members to network and build connections. These include Coffee & Conversations, monthly lunch meetings, happy hours, and more.
CYP also hosts bimonthly formal lunch meetings featuring community leaders and keynote speakers, ensuring members stay engaged and have access to valuable professional development opportunities.
We are continually exploring new and innovative events to host for our members, aiming to create a welcoming environment where young professionals in Owensboro can connect. With events scheduled throughout the day—morning, noon, and evening—we strive to accommodate all schedules and foster meaningful networking experiences.
Giving Back
CYP is deeply committed to strengthening our community and recognizes the power of service. With numerous volunteer opportunities available, members can make a meaningful impact. Whether it’s partnering with Wendell Foster for their Annual First Responders BBQ, collecting Halloween costumes for our annual Costume Drive, or supporting local non-profits during special events, there’s something for everyone to get involved in!
We offer two monthly mentoring programs designed to empower youth, build confidence, and inspire success. These programs include Guys & Ties, which serves elementary and middle school boys, and Project Empower: Girls & Goals, aimed at empowering elementary school girls. Join us in making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of the youth in our community!
