Dave Kirk is the President & CEO for the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce.
Kirk previously served as destination management director for Visit Owensboro. He served as the Owensboro Public Schools Public Information Officer before joining Visit Owensboro. Kirk started his career as a multimedia journalist for both an ABC and NBC affiliate.
Kirk is a two-time Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 honoree and was the 2016 Chamber Young Professional of the Year. He has also served as the Chair for the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce Chamber Young Professionals, Green River Regional Tourism Committee and the William and Marilyn Young Foundation. Kirk also serves on the Owensboro Public Schools Foundation for Excellence and as an ex-officio member of the Kentucky Chamber Board of Directors.
He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism with a minor in communications. Kirk also earned his Certified Destination Marketing Executive (CDME) from Destinations International. He also holds a digital marketing certification from the JB Media Institute.
Dave is a native of Owensboro and is married to Jessica Kirk. The couple have three sons, Talon, Tipton and Talmage.
