Mason Green was just 18 years old when he started BackWoods Spray Foam, building on the knowledge and experience his father gained during 15 years in the spray foam industry.
Now, about three years later, the Owensboro business has expanded beyond spray foam to offer a variety of flooring and concrete services.
Laina Butler, office manager at BackWoods Spray Foam, said the company’s growth has been driven by a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
The company’s services include crawl space encapsulation, insulation for new construction and existing buildings, soil injection, concrete lifting, and industrial roofing. It also offers epoxy, cementitious, and polyaspartic flooring.
“Our goal is to make a positive difference in the home service industry by setting a higher standard for the work we provide and the experience we give our customers,” Butler said.
She said Green started the business with a vision of becoming successful in the home service industry while also changing how customers view spray foam contractors.
According to Butler, homeowners are sometimes left unsure of what to expect when hiring a spray foam contractor or how to determine whether the work meets industry standards.
The company aims to address those concerns by helping customers better understand the process and what to look for when choosing a contractor.
“Our goal is to change that by educating customers about what to look for when choosing a contractor, what to expect throughout the process, and how to hold contractors accountable for the quality of their work,” she said.
Beyond its services, BackWoods Spray Foam also values its connection to the Owensboro community. Butler said the support the company has received locally has played an important role in its growth.
“Owensboro has always shown a strong appreciation for local businesses, and we are grateful for the support our community has given us,” she said.
The company hopes to continue giving back to Owensboro and remain a positive part of the community for years to come.
