Cub Express Auto Wash has been named the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce’s Member of the Week, spotlighting its budget-friendly, high-speed car wash model backed by Cheetah Clean.
Located at 2915 Wimsatt Court in Owensboro, Cub Express opened in mid-December and has quickly gained attention as a convenient and affordable option for local drivers.
The ribbon cutting for the location was held Dec. 16, and the wash is fully operational — currently only paused due to inclement weather. Once conditions improve, Cub Express will reopen to serve drivers looking to remove winter road salt and grime without breaking the bank.
Washes start at just $12.99, with unlimited plans available for as low as $24.99 per month. All packages — Base, Smart, and Ultimate — offer varying levels of service, from basic express washes to ceramic layering and underbody spray. All memberships include reciprocal access to other Cheetah Clean locations, adding flexibility for regular customers.
“Cub Express gives us a way to meet the needs of price-conscious drivers without sacrificing quality,” said Jeff Fields, founder of Cheetah Clean. “It’s quick, convenient, and part of our broader mission to deliver excellent service throughout the community.”
Fields said the company invested over $500,000 into upgrading the Wimsatt Court location with new equipment and point-of-sale systems. The site created seven jobs and also helped establish a new market management role and maintenance tech position. Fields said the new venture continues Cheetah Clean’s track record of developing local talent.
“While we’re in the car wash business, we really see ourselves as a people development company,” Fields said. “We’re proud to be part of the Owensboro business community and appreciate the support we’ve received as we grow.”
