Mister Sparky of Northwest Kentucky opens in Owensboro with guarantee-focused approach

Mister Sparky of Northwest Kentucky, a residential and light-commercial electrical contractor, has opened in Owensboro. Owner Kyle Wallace said the business has been a long time in the making.

The company is based at 3221 Frederica Street, Suite C, and serves Owensboro as well as communities including Henderson, Madisonville, and Morganfield.

“We started our business fairly recently, registering our business with Kentucky and Owensboro beginning in May of this year, and opened just a few weeks ago,” Wallace said. “The idea of starting a residential electrical contractor business is much older, though; we have been planning this for over a year now.”

Wallace said his path to ownership grew out of decades in the electrical trades.

“I have always been interested in entrepreneurship and owning my own business. As someone who worked for decades in the electrical trades as an electrician, electrical planner, and foreman, it was a logical route to take,” he said.

The company provides installations, repairs, maintenance, and other services for homes and light-commercial sites, Wallace said. Mister Sparky is a Generac Aligned Contractor for home generators and an Eaton Certified Contractor for panel installations. Technicians service most brands and stock breakers for multiple manufacturers, he said. Offerings also include EV charger installs, home security systems, and landscape lighting. “As a new company, there are always some growing pains, especially when no one knows us or has heard of us,” Wallace said. “We have been receiving steady calls and online bookings and are filling our schedule every day. We are excited to get our name out there and get people recognizing us and recognizing the value we bring to their home.”

Mister Sparky has sponsored baseball teams for the coming spring season, invested in fire safety initiatives with several departments in its territory, joined the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, and created a Heroes Club that provides free club memberships to active duty, reserve, and veteran military members and to active first responders.
