Don Mario’s fresh flavors a success at Windridge Country Club

Don Mario’s has expanded expansion location at Windridge Country Club introduces a menu that blends its downtown favorites with country club flair.

Owner Oralis Radilla said the restaurant, which launched in late May 2025, came to fruition through an opportunity presented by the Windridge board.

“While our new location is inspired by the beloved menu from downtown Owensboro, we’ve added a fresh twist with country club favorites — from specialty sandwiches to delicious pastas,” Radilla said. “Plus, with our expanded bar space (something we don’t have downtown), we’re now serving up refreshing cocktails like Bloody Marys, Piña Coladas, and Daiquiris.”

The restaurant is open to the public, not just Windridge members, and Radilla said the addition has already been met with strong support during the summer golf season. The space also includes a banquet hall available for weddings, reunions, birthdays, baby showers, and other events, paired with Don Mario’s catering service.

“We’re thrilled to have launched during the summer golf season and are so grateful for the warm support from both members and our surrounding community,” Radilla said. “As a public space, we’re excited to share that our banquet hall is now available … to make every event unforgettable.”

Radilla’s family has been in the Owensboro restaurant scene since 2013, when they opened a small location on East 2nd Street that quickly became a hidden gem. In 2020, they expanded downtown before adding Real Hacienda, upgrading their food truck, and growing into large-scale catering.

“With the continued support of our loyal customers, we have been honored to cater hundreds of weddings and countless special events,” Radilla said.

For Radilla, one of the most rewarding aspects of Don Mario’s is connecting with new guests while gaining insight into the local golf community.

“Don Mario’s at Windridge is open to the public, inviting everyone to come and enjoy our welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere,” Radilla said. “Our banquet hall is also available for rentals during weekdays, perfect for any event or gathering.”
