Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel thrives on personalized service and community support
Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel has been a staple in the Owensboro community since Donna Southard launched the business from her home in 2013. What started as a small operation has since grown into a full-fledged storefront on 235 East 20th Street.
The shop offers various unique gifts and personalized products that Southard says have garnered a loyal local following.
“We have so many top sellers,” Southard said. “Happy Everything is really popular – it’s an attachable program where you buy a base and switch out seasonal attachments. We also offer exclusive lines like Nora Fleming and Scout.”
Southard added that Crazy Me sets itself apart through its personalized services, including custom embroidery, laser engraving, and UV printing.
“We make a lot of the items in our store,” she said. “We even print our own T-shirts and have a new UV printer that’s been exciting to use.”
Beyond the products, Southard emphasized the importance of relationships and the support she has received from the local community, including regularly voting them the top gift shop in Ownebsoro.
Southard’s dedication to the community extends beyond the walls of her shop. Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel supports numerous local fundraisers, and the store provides free delivery to funeral homes and hospitals, particularly for bereavement gifts.
“It’s personal for us,” she said. “We’re here for the fun occasions like weddings and birthdays, but also for the hard times.”
As the shop gears up for the holiday season, Southard encourages shoppers to check out their social media pages for the latest on sales and special events. With a motto that promises “every gift is a little bit crazy with a whole lot of love,” Southard said Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel remains focused on providing heartfelt, personalized service for each customer.
