The Chamber of Young Professional is in need of costume donations this Halloween season

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) —With Halloween just around the corner, The Chamber of Young Professionals is on a mission to ensure that every child can enjoy the Halloween fun without any barriers.

Owensboro’s Chamber of Young Professionals are joining hands with local organizations to make Halloween a special and inclusive experience for all children.

There are over half a dozen locations where you can drop your costumes off. Organizations like Independence Bank, Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, BHG Realty, Terry’s Trees, Greater Owensboro Realty Co. and All Blessings Inc. And you can drop costumes off at all of their locations.

They are asking for new or gently used costumes in sizes for elementary school children.

The Chamber of Young Professionals believe that every child should have the opportunity to take part in the excitement of Halloween, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

44News spoke with Director of Talent Programs for the Chamber of Young Professionals, Ashtin Warren, on why some children don’t receive costumes from their guardians.

“There are some families that may be struggling financially, if they’re new to town and they don’t have a chance to get to Halloween stores, or children have just grown out of old costumes. So, we’re just hoping that this will help people out,” Warren expresses.

Every contribution counts, and even a single costume can make a world of difference to a child in need.

They will be accepting costume donations all the way through October 25th.
