Chamber to host another drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Thursday

The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce will host their another free drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic at First Christian Church (700 J.R. Miller Blvd.) from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.

The Green River District Health Department will provide the option of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or the two-dose Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.

Individuals that choose to receive the Moderna vaccine or Pfizer vaccine will be contacted by the Health Department to schedule their second dose following 28 days.

There is no cost to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of insurance status. No appointment is required, and walk-ups are accepted. Individuals must bring a photo ID and health insurance card, if applicable.

Entrance to the parking lot may be accessed from both J.R. Miller Boulevard and Daviess Street. Individuals will receive registration paperwork then pull forward to receive the vaccine, all while remaining in their car. After receiving the vaccine, individuals will be directed to a parking spot to wait for the designated 15 minutes to be monitored by a nurse.

Individuals will leave with their official CDC vaccination card and free merchandise from the Green River District Health Department. The giveaway items are limited and available while supplies last.
