As the summer months approach, we reflect on business through 2016 and conversations of budgets and projections are of weekly topics around the office. This, too, is a topic for the Chamber Young Professionals. Since re-launching CYP in January 2016, membership numbers and interest levels are soaring — pushing triple digits for the first time in recent years. While this is the case, growth is still on the horizon.
Chamber Young Professionals is a zealous group of professionals who come from diverse organizations and industries in which members are given the opportunity to become involved within the Owensboro community. Philanthropy, corporate tours and social events highlight an array of opportunity to build both professional and personal networks.
CYP is a vital asset to our community and region both short and long term. The group is open to ages 21-40, employed in the area. Every industry is welcome; every industry is wanted. Educators, agriculture, health care professionals and entrepreneurs are ideal for Chamber Young Professionals. Whether members join to network, give back or simply become involved, CYP is the direct avenue to fulfill that plan.
Chamber Young Professionals is essential to the continued growth as a community. CYP enables a platform for voices to be heard. As an individual and as a group, how do we want to see our community right now? How do we want to see it in the future? Chamber Young Professionals is an integral piece of Owensboro’s puzzle in cultivating and engaging our generation for years to come.
