March is the time of the year where we begin to see green again. Flowers are coming up, Easter candy is on store shelves and spring breakers are beginning to smile thinking about the days ahead. For basketball fans, bracket talk is taking up a good bit of time. And so is March Madness.
The chamber has its own March tradition that we call Member Madness. We kicked it off Thursday here at the Chamber. What is Member Madness? It is a two-week period where our ambassadors, board and staff go out and pay a visit to each of our members to thank them for their investment in the chamber. It is also the time we deliver our new window decals to members.
This year, our decal has our iconic blue bridge logo. Besides “Proud Chamber Member” we include the line “We Believe in Owensboro.”
Why? Because chamber members get it. They understand that being part of an organization that strives to build the community, that works daily to improve the regional economy, that has a belief in the spirit of what makes Owensboro great. They know that these things are important and they support that by investing in the chamber, their fellow members and our community.
When you see a chamber decal on a door, please consider it a badge of honor. That business cares about you and about Owensboro — do business with them. They are doing business for you.
