Chamber Member of the Week: Alvey Signs

Ken Alvey began his sign business in his family’s garage in Evansville in 1970. Fast forward more than half a century, and the company has grown and evolved exponentially, expanding into the Owensboro market.

Dale Moore serves as the sales representative for the Owensboro market and takes pride in growing the company’s already broad base of satisfied customers. Naturally, the business quickly outgrew the garage, now boasting more than 54,000 square feet of space on seven acres on Evansville’s northeast side.

“Our mission is to supply our customers with world-class quality products and service and provide our employees a stable and desirable workplace,” Moore said. “We strive to be a responsible citizen in the community while generating a profit adequate to perpetuate the business.”

Alvey’s Signs defines a turnkey business, managing every aspect of the sign installation. They custom design, manufacture, and install nearly any type of sign for customers all over the region.

“We’re able to provide every element of your signage needs,” Moore said. “We guarantee your project will meet the highest standards and be delivered on time and within budget.”

Moore said the company takes great pride in its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and equipment and values a very “hands-on” approach.

“Our customers’ satisfaction is paramount, and we believe personal involvement with each project guarantees that every sign exceeds the client’s expectations for quality, color, visibility, and durability.”

Embodying Alvey’s original mission, the company wants to show every client how the right sign can “make you stand out in your area.”

Alvey’s designs, fabricates, and services the following signs: special-designed signs, awnings, banners, channel lettering, vacuum-formed faces and lettering, electronic message centers, monument signs, LED-illuminated signs, neon signs, pylon and pole signs, vinyl graphics, silkscreen printing, large-format digital printing, commercial truck and fleet graphics, directional signs, exterior signs, cabinet signs, and interior signs.

“Your sign creates an identity for your business and builds brand awareness with current and new customers,” Moore said. “Let’s make sure your sign works as hard as you do. Give me a call to learn how we can work for you.”
