The purpose of Leadership Owensboro Alumni is to connect graduates of Leadership Owensboro, empowering them to engage meaningfully, and to increase awareness, pride, participation, volunteer involvement, and philanthropic commitment, thereby improving the quality of life in the Greater Owensboro region.
The Leadership Owensboro Alumni Association was formed in the early 1980s and housed at the Chamber of Commerce as a vehicle for LO graduates to connect to community leadership opportunities and to continue relationships. The group met regularly for two decades, and although the group continued to host an annual welcome reception for new Leadership Owensboro class members, and attended graduations, the alumni association dissolved in approximately 2007.
In 2022, the Leadership Owensboro Class of 2022 decided to work together towards relaunching the Leadership Owensboro Alumni group.
The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the Leadership Owensboro Alumni as the graduates of Leadership Owensboro reunite and work towards a shared goal of improving the quality of life for our community. With an alumni base of more than 1,000 community leaders and growing, Leadership Owensboro Alumni offers individuals the opportunity to continue using knowledge gained during their class year regarding our community’s needs, challenges, and resources to impact the Greater Owensboro region.
