Job Summary:
Provides general management and supervision of simulation personnel, resource management, professional development, and facility operations for HealthForce Kentucky. Using the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice this individual will be responsible for the logistics and operations to ensure proper planning for events. This position reports to the Director of Simulation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure efficient use of space, schedules, and equipment to support progressive
programming needs.
• Support audiovisual equipment, inventory, maintenance and setup, software, and
hardware support.
• Support operations of HealthForce Kentucky program at the land-based center and on
mobile learning labs.
• Supervise and develop staff.
• Provide simulation-related professional development offerings.
• Supervise and participate in committees and special projects as assigned.
• Represent the program within the community.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications:
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS or CHSOS-Advanced) upon
hire or within one year.
• Problem Solving: Problems are different and unexpected. Develops new solutions that
have not been previously applied and has the discretion to implement them.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Functions as a leader within the department and typically
supervises personnel and indirectly supervises staff under this job’s line of authority.
• Oversight and Direction: Receives only broad administrative guidance. Assignments are in
terms of setting objectives within strategic planning goals. Employee is responsible for
planning, designing, and implementing programs, and projects, and sets goals for their
team.
• Knowledge of capability and limitations of various computer operating systems and
terminology related to computer hardware, software, network, and peripheral
equipment.
• Operating knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
• Quickly and eagerly learn new technology.
• Ability to understand and process technical information clearly and simplify to non-
technical persons.
• Actively seeks new technologies and stays current on simulation and educational
technologies.
• Learn set-up, troubleshoot, and operate technology.
• Must possess a strong commitment to excellence in healthcare simulation training while
working with a diverse population.
• Interact and communicate professionally.
• Work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse teams.
• Express technical information clearly and simply.
• Work with internal and external individuals from different disciplines and diverse levels of
training needs.
• Manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Knowledge of computer and software technology and hardware to operate and assist in
the development of future needs.
• Travel up to 30% of the time with occasional overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in healthcare or related field and three years related work experience,
or equivalent.
