Towne Square Mall bought by Owensboro investment group

New owners have taken over Towne Square Mall in Owensboro.

Gulfstream Commercial Services announced a group of local investors, TSM Holdings LLC, have purchased the 350,000 square feet retail facility.

Gulfstream CEO Ed Ray tells us work has already started on trying to bring in new business. Ray said they already have representatives at retail trade shows promoting the mall.

“Everything is on the table to look at on how we can make this mall a destination once again, for not only Owensboro…” said Ray “But to compete with, across the river in Evansville. To compete with people south of here, heading down to places like Bowling Green and others. And make this a place where we really can combine eating, retail, services, and bring everybody together.”

We’ve also been speaking with leaders of the Owensboro Regional Chamber of Commerce. Jaclyn Graves, membership development and marketing manager, says the chamber is proud a local owner is coming in to take care of this mall.

“We have so much opportunity for growth and to make Owensboro’s retail sector so much greater,” said Graves. “So to look at the mall, I see tons of opportunity and a local developer understands the market here. And they understand what Owensboro wants. What Owensboro needs. I’m really excited to see what’s going to happen out there.”

The company said they are deeply invested in the promotion, progression, and development of the Owensboro area.

They said they are kicking off a marketing campaign to recruit and retain tenants.
