Rooster Booster to feature mayoral forum
The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce’s Rooster Booster breakfast this Thursday will include a forum featuring the Owensboro mayoral candidates in the upcoming Primary Election.
Candance Castlen Brake, President and CEO of the Chamber, said the community must understand the platforms of those running for the mayoral position.
“A primary goal of our Chamber is to be a catalyst for economic growth. Civic engagement is a key component of strong and bustling communities,” Brake said. “… The mayoral race is extremely important to the community’s future. While the mayor is more of a figurehead in the city manager form of government, the occupant of the office sets the tone for our community and can guide many important discussions.”
The program begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Owensboro Convention Center (501 West Second Street) and is sponsored by Oddball Creative. Register to attend here or call the Chamber office at 270-926-1860.
