Chamber Member of the Week: Calumet Trace Senior Living

Calumet Trace Senior Living opened in January at 3050 Calumet Trace, just off of Hayden Road near The Downs subdivision and Gateway Commons. It offers independent living, personal care, and memory care services in a new state-of-the-art facility.

The 115-apartment facility features on-site therapy, a beauty salon, a movie theatre, an activity room, and more.

“Our residents benefit from an all-inclusive senior living community,” said marketing director Maleah Moore. “We have 24/7 on-site nursing and caregiving services. We help with meal prepping and all aspects of daily living.”

With personal care, residents and their families make a daily schedule based on the residents’ needs and lifestyles — ranging from nursing attention to activities offered. For memory care, the facility provides specialized care for residents undergoing memory loss.

“Our motto is enhancing the human spirit – it’s what we strive to daily through a personalized experience full of activities and outings,” Moore said.

Calumet Trace is a Charter Senior Living community. The company offers a free guidebook called Empowering Your Requirement: A Financial Guide to Senior Living. The book equips seniors and families with strategies for financially preparing for senior living.

The on-site dining facility offers homemade creations to meet residents’ individual tastes, preferences, and dietary needs. Classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are available, along with an ‘Always Available Menu,’ where residents can create their own main courses, snacks, and desserts.

The dining facility also presents exciting, themed meals and a monthly selection of residents’ choices.

Community involvement is also a priority. Residents and employees recently participated in Read Across America Week, reading multiple titles to several local youngsters.

“We really try to offer a worry-free lifestyle for our residents, with maintenance and utilities included,” Moore said.
