What matters to us:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Registered Behavior Tech certification or ability to obtain certificate within three months of employment
• Minimum of one (1) year’s experience in the care of individuals with multiple physical handicaps or challenging behaviors, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Implement appropriate programs for service recipients as part of the individual’s support plan
• Conduct staff training regarding behavior service policies, procedures, techniques, and programs and ongoing fidelity to implementation of programs
• Serve as a consultant to all departments regarding behavior techniques and strategies
• Collect, input, and graph behavioral data on an ongoing basis
• Spend at least 5% of total hours providing behavior support under clinical supervision as designated by the licensing board
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job;
• Frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• May occasionally push individuals in manual wheelchairs with a total weight of up to 400 pounds on flat surfaces and ramps.
• Frequently move around the cottage and the grounds of the organization; operate a computer and general office equipment.
