Job Summary:
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time student Recruitment Specialist for the Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Department. Primary responsibilities will include recruiting students for department programs, working with department faculty to develop strategies for program recruitment, assisting with the implementation of the developed strategies, and organizing the recruiting efforts for the department. This position reports directly to the Department Head. This is a three-year grant-funded position (7/1/2024 – 6/30/2027).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
•Student recruitment for department programs through employer and community engagement, utilizing a variety of modalities, activities, and materials.
•Set and reach recruiting goals for department programs based on enrollment and need.
•Create a department-level and individual-level recruiting timetable.
•Organize and assist department faculty with internal and external student recruiting campaigns, projects, and events such as program fairs, tours, summer camps, high school career fairs, and the Home Expo.
•Coordinate department student recruitment campaigns, projects, and events with Marketing to create a cohesive College-wide vision.
•Participate in, and coordinate department student recruitment meetings and workgroups to identify recruitment target populations, develop appropriate recruitment materials and methods, and design interactive recruitment activities.
•Monitor program websites and social media for needed updates, work with program coordinators for accuracy, and request any changes through Marketing.
•Assist with photography of departmental campaigns, projects, and events.
•Maintain a departmental photo library.
•Work with Marketing in writing departmental news releases.
•Work with Marketing to ensure the accuracy of departmental print jobs.
•Implement and adopt new Customer Relationship Management software.
•Collaborate with program coordinators, department head, and faculty to implement best practices in recruiting and serving underrepresented populations.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience or equivalent.
•The candidate should have experience with technologies, including presentation software and CRMs (i.e., Canvas, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office products).
