Our locally owned title company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Escrow Officer. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, well-organized person with a strong work ethic and desire to find solutions to help customers have a truly remarkable experience closing their real estate transactions. The person must create a positive image of the company through a professional appearance, actions, and conduct to fellow employees and customers
Position Summary:
The Escrow Officer will be able to manage the entire real estate closing process from contract to funding, ensuring compliance with all legal, lender, and company requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open, process, and close escrow transactions in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Review purchase agreements, lender instructions, and title commitments to determine escrow requirements.
- Prepare, review, and explain closing documents to all parties involved.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely closings.
- Clear title issues, obtain necessary payoffs, and verify all required documentation.
- Disburse funds accurately and in compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of all transaction information.
- Work as a team with the production and closing staff to maintain excellence in title services as well as a quality product for our customers;
- Field inquiries from customers;
- Title clearance and obtaining lien payoffs;
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of escrow or title industry experience is required, including strong knowledge of real estate contracts, title commitments, and closing procedures;
- Exceptional typing accuracy. You may be required to take a skills test;
- Proficiency in escrow software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple files and meet strict deadlines;
- Customer Service with a Positive & Team Player Type of attitude;
- Notary public or be bondable.
